COURSES OFFERED

All of the NSCC classes for the 12hr License Renewal have been approved by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards.

Our classes give an in depth review of Massachusetts amendments to the new I-Codes, Massachusetts Workman’s Compensation Laws, building permits, H.I.C. registration, zoning laws, planning regulations, wetland regulations, Massachusetts fire codes, business practices, lead, and O.S.H.A. Most of our instructors are certified Massachusetts Building Inspectors, have many years of experience as contractors and building officials and have lived and worked here all their life.

As part of our training, aside from our certified CSL instructors, we also have local professionals from various related professions connected to the construction industry come provide their valuable insight and training to our students, such as attorneys, experts in The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index, certified LEAD instructors, etc…

INITIAL CSL LICENSE EXAM PREP

COURSE CONTENT – To Prepare You To Pass The Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License Exam

Our courses are 3 hrs every Saturday, 0830 am to 1130 am.  The course is 8 weeks long.  (We are the ONLY trainers in the area to offer an 8 week course)

Our students receive homework every week.  The homework will consist of over 700 questions. We teach students how to set up their books, how to tab and mark their books.  We have been teaching this course for over 12 years with exceptional exam results among our participating students. For students who participate in the class, do their homework and study, we guarantee that you will pass the exam, or the follow on course instruction to retake the exam is FREE!

Our classes are conducted over an 8 week period, 3 hrs/week.

CSL LICENSE RENEWALS

The state has changed how you fulfill your continuing education for your Construction Supervisor License. If you are looking to take the 12hr CSL License Renewal course, you must take part of the required hours in-person. Our new CSL courses adhere to the new MA regulation of offering a minimum 6hrs of live in-class training. We provide 10 to 13 courses that a student can take in-class with us to fulfill the full 12 hour requirement. However, the state allows for a maximum of 6hrs online as part of the 12 hours required course hours. We assist students who do not desire to conduct a full 12 hours of in-class live course instruction, with coordinating on-line course instruction to supplement and meet the state 12 hr course requirement. We cover what you need to know about the Massachusetts 9th edition code.

For license renewals, we offer courses to fulfill in-class 12 hrs of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Credits. We conduct this in either one or two 6hr courses, depending on whether or not the student chooses to fulfill their 12hr obligation entirely with NSCC.
